Ben Stock
Ben trained at the Guildford School of Acting.
In the West End, he has played ‘Eugene’ in GREASE, ‘Inventor’ in CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, ‘Roger The Cabin Boy’ in DAME EDNA, THE SPECTACLE, ‘Victor Saville’ in OVER MY SHOULDER; THE JESSIE MATTHEWS STORY, ‘Merlin’ in MAGICAL MERLIN and ‘Lord Braggard’ in JUNGLE RUMBLE.
On tour Ben played ‘Lumiere’ in DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, 'Noël Coward' in NOËL AND GERTIE, 'PC Boot' in SALAD DAYS, 'Teddy Shapiro' in SOPHIE TUCKERS ONE NIGHT STAND, TOMFOOLERY, Glenn Miller in BUGLE BOY and was the alternate ‘Joseph’ in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. He was also the musical director and performed in A SPOONFUL OF SHERMAN, a revue based on the works of The Sherman Brothers.
In London Ben has also been seen in NOËL AND GERTIE as 'Noël Coward' at the Cockpit, G AND I at the New End, GAYS THE WORD (Jermyn Street), ANYONE CAN WHISTLE (Covent Garden Festival), RAGS (Lyric), MERMAN'S APPRENTICE (Landor), GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES (Lost Musicals) and FOLLOW THAT GIRL (Theatre Museum).
His regional work includes 'Cornelius' in HELLO DOLLY, ‘Herbie’ in GYPSY, LADY WINDERMERE'S FAN, A CHORUS OF DISAPPROVAL, SHERLOCK HOLMES and SINGLE SPIES (Pitlochry), A CHRISTMAS CAROL and THE LADY IN THE VAN (Windsor), A CHORUS OF DISAPPROVAL (Salisbury), GLORIOUS, TOMFOOLERY, COLE and CHARLEY'S AUNT (Frinton), FRENCH WITHOUT TEARS and OVER MY SHOULDER (Sonning), MURDER MYSTERY MUSICAL (Edinburgh Fringe), ALICE IN WONDERLAND (West Yorkshire Playhouse), OUR GRACIE, STEPPING OUT and FEELS LIKE THE FIRST TIME (Oldham Coliseum), LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (English Theater, Frankfurt), ANNIE (Perth) and THE TALE OF MR TUMBLE at the Manchester International Festival which is regularly shown on CBeebies.
A panto regular, Ben has appeared as 'Ugly Sister' for QDOS in CINDERELLA (Hastings, High Wycombe twice, Dartford, Bradford, Northampton, Bristol, Milton Keynes twice, Southend, Woking, Plymouth and Wolverhampton twice!!) alongside the likes of The Krankies, Lesley Joseph, Lynda Bellingham, Brian Conley, Gok Wan, Stefan Dennis, Jimmy Osmond, Billy Pearce, Bradley Walsh and Julian Clary and played Dame in Richmond in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST with Maureen Lipman - a role he will repeat alongside Su Pollard in Bromley this year. In 2018, Ben was awarded Best Ugly Sister at the UK Pantomime Awards.
In Music Hall he has appeared all over the country with The Players Theatre, Leeds City Varieties, Hiss and Boo and The Paper Moon Theatre Company - and now Green Room Ents.

Ben has directed ME AND MY GIRL, TELL ME IN A SUNDAY and I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE for Frinton Summer Theatre, CLUE for Sidmouth Repertory Company, ADORABLE DORA (about Dora Bryan) starring Rosemary Ashe, Jessica Martin’s one-woman cabaret A LIFE UNDER THE LIGHTS and was the assistant director on the first professional revival of MAME starring Tracie Bennett. He also directed ELTON JOHN: IT’S A LITTLE BIT FUNNY which after a successful London run toured the UK. Sailing around the world on the fleet of Cunard ships, are four shows directed by Ben - A TALE OF TWO CITIES, SWING!, THE GREAT BRITISH SONGBOOK and THANK YOU FOR THE MOVIES.
Ben is also in demand as an interviewer for charity and corporate events. He has recently interviewed stars such as Dame Maureen Lipman, Bobby Crush, Lesley Joseph and Marti Webb.
His one man shows AND THERE WAS MUSIC, TAKING STOCK, CRACKERS AND COWARD and THE LAND OF MAKE BELIEVE have played sell-out engagements in London at The Pheasantry and Crazy Coqs, across the UK, in Malaysia and at New York’s 54 BELOW.
